The Bowen Technique is a totally different approach to achieving optimum health and gaining relief from pain and injury, and addressing many acute and chronic disorders.
The technique accesses the body's innate healing systems (which mends broken bones and heal cuts and bruises, etc,) to stimulate a deep healing response and restore balance. 

The practitioner delivers signals (moves) to the nervous system at specific locations via the fascia of the body allowing the body to respond in it's own time without imposing correction. The moves are purposeful yet gentle with pauses between each set of moves which allows the work to be integrated into the body. The treatment can be applied on a couch or in a chair and through light clothing.

A Bowen Technique treatment affects the body in ways which promote healing, pain relief and recovery of energy and continues to work long after the treatment has been given. The experience is gentle, subtle and relaxing and is suitable for everyone, from children to the elderly, from the very fit and active to those in poor health. Osteopaths, Chiropractors, Sports Therapists, Physiotherapist and Acupuncturists are often also practitioners of the Bowen Technique and they are continually amazed at the effectiveness of this simple and gentle form of 'hands on therapy'.
